Our very first field trip — a behind-the-scenes morning at Publix!
Students head to Publix in Indialantic for a hands-on tour of how a grocery store really works. From the deli counter to the loading dock, they’ll see the people, places, and systems that keep food moving from the farm to the shelf to the table.
It’s a fun, curious morning that turns an everyday errand into a real learning adventure — and everyone goes home with goodies, knowledge, and a better understanding of how our world is organized.
What Students Will Experience
- Visit the deli, bakery, meat, and produce departments
- Watch how cakes are decorated
- Observe the loading and docking area
- Learn where produce and meat come from
- Visit the pharmacy
- Learn the cash register and check out customers
