Creative Writing Lab — Watercolor for Story Illustrations

A hands-on workshop where storytelling meets art — students will write original stories and bring them to life with watercolor illustrations, all in a beautiful outdoor setting.

What We’ll Do

  • Creative Writing — craft original short stories with guided prompts and coaching
  • Watercolor Illustration — learn watercolor techniques to illustrate your story
  • Story Sharing — read your finished piece aloud and celebrate each other’s creativity

  • Story structure and creative writing fundamentals
  • Watercolor techniques for beginners

Stacey Marmolejo — Published Author, Writing Coach & Veteran Educator

Stacey is a published author, writing coach, and veteran educator with 40 years of experience in the classroom. She brings a warm, encouraging approach to creative writing — helping young writers find their voice, trust their ideas, and discover the joy of putting stories on the page. Her workshops blend writing craft with visual art, giving students multiple ways to express themselves and build confidence as creators.
