Creative Expression — Acting, Improvisation & Stand-Up Comedy

An 8-week course in acting, improvisation, and stand-up comedy for ages 8 and up.

Creative Expression is an 8-week course where students ages 8 and up explore acting, improvisation, and stand-up comedy in a supportive, encouraging environment. It’s part performance class, part confidence builder — a space where young people learn to trust their voice, think on their feet, and discover what happens when they stop worrying about getting it right and start having fun on stage.

Over eight weeks, students will develop stage presence, storytelling instincts, and the kind of self-assurance that carries far beyond any performance. Whether they’re naturally outgoing or quietly creative, this course meets them where they are and gives them room to grow.

What Students Will Experience

  • Acting fundamentals and scene work
  • Improvisation games and exercises
  • Writing and performing original stand-up comedy
  • Building stage presence and public speaking confidence
  • Collaborative creative work with fellow performers

Required Books
